Rick Grimaldi is a plain talker. His approach to talk radio is to combine intelligent dialogue, which challenges his listeners, with a healthy dose of irreverence. He calls ‘em as he sees ‘em. With working class roots that belie his last name which, of course, links him with the greatest Philadelphians of all time, the Kelly family. He is a cousin of the royal family of Monaco but a true son of the region.
Born in the Olney section of Philadelphia and raised in the suburbs, Rick learned early in life that hard work matters. He and his two brothers were raised by a single mother who worked several jobs and never needed help from the government.
Rick Worked his way through college and law school where he received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Temple University, and his Law Degree from the Villanova University School of Law.
After Law School Rick returned to his hometown and became active in Pennsylvania and local Republican politics. He helped raise funds for a little known Congressman from Erie Pennsylvania who would become Governor. After Tom Ridge was elected, Rick was appointed to the high ranking position of Deputy General Counsel to the Governor.
Rick has lectured extensively on issues that matter to residents of the Delaware Valley. He is a former professor, teaching business ethics at a local college. He is a lifetime member of Continental Who’s Who of National Business Leaders and was selected by his peers and the Researchers of Law and Politics as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer.
When not on the air at the Big Talker, Rick is currently Managing Partner of the Philadelphia office of Jackson Lewis LLP, a national labor and employment law firm. He still lives in his hometown with his wife and three daughters.
