Clinton was born on a cold night in 1977, in the middle of the storm of the century. Things were so bad that Clinton was forced to birth himself. 10 and a half years later, Clinton stopped watching professional wrestling. 20 Years later, the Flyers were swept out of the Stanley Cup Finals by the Detroit Red Wings. Clinton has produced shows in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Atlanta (for about 15 minutes), and is currently in the middle of serving his second sentence at The Big Talker 1210.
June 23 The unexpected urgencies of summer
1:53 PM EDT A full week of shows for 1210 Tonight requires me to return from blog semi-hibernation. It's been a slow summer so far, but over the next few weeks we'll have a good amount of shows.
2:01 PM EDT I walked in to the Big Cafeteria earlier and was overcome with outrage upon reading a letter attached to the Big Vending Machine that prices will soon be going up. For years, Big Talker employees have been blessed with $1 sodas while the rest of America is paying $1.25 but that's not why I'm outraged. My uptic in animosity stems from the lack of reliability of said Big Vending Machine and now if I have to pay more for a Big Beverage, the Big Vending Machine better be more reliable in delivering that beverage. It shouldn't tell me it's sold out when I can it sitting there. It better be able to take dollar bills more than 2 days a week and the drinks should be cold, not warm, and not explode when they are opened. (As an aside, when your soda does explode, it's a better idea to close the lid as quickly as you can, not, as Dr. Mazz does, stick the bottle in your mouth and try to absorb the explosion until it ebbs). I don't ask much from the Big Vending Machine, other than it provide reliable service. We are all feeling the rising costs of gas prices and I am not surprised that vending machines are being effected. That's why it is imperative that they give a little more back in terms of delievering the expected product after I deposit my dollar and, now, change.
